Description
This anonymous, undated manuscript book of 64 pages mostly contains cures but also includes some recipes for sweets. It is located in Folder 1 of the library's collection titled "Cures and Recipes, 19th century." The same collection also includes four manuscripts on microfilm that contain recipes, dated 1830, 1846, 1858, and 1859. The physical 1846 manuscript is part of the library's Calvin J. Cowles papers; see
"Martha Cowles Recipe Book, 1846" in this database. The physical 1830, 1858, and 1859 manuscripts are not part of the library's collection. See the preservation staff for assistance with this material.
