Description
This recipe book is written on thirty bifoliums, that is, thirty pairs of paper sheets folded in half to make four pages. Twenty-five of the bifoliums have been stitched together to make a book. Five of the bifoliums are inserted into the book following page 22. At the midpoint of the bound bifoliums two pages have been cut away, leaving only stubs. From that point on, the leaves are blank except for page 113. The library catalog record states that the hand of this manuscript closely resembles the hand of a recipe book titled
"A Collection of Useful and Good Receipts," which is also part of the Library of Congress collection.
