    Thanks for this information with the neat transcriptions. I am a newcomer with my own archive of receipts and medicines, and the wealthy did try to poison themselves with expensive and lethal ingredients in their medications. Extract of Saturn sounds romantic, but these days we know Msr. Goulard was a quack selling his popular junk medicine. These days vaccine preventable diseases do not cause the extermination of families, but I have to wonder if the use of clysters and electuaries containing Dogs Mercury,mercury,lead acetate and opium etc did.
