This cherry stoner was patented in 1863 and therefore it was probably utilized in a Victorian household in the latter part of the 18th century. According to 300 Years of Kitchen Collectibles (Franklin 22), the patent to this very distinctive cherry pitter belonged to Henry Buckwalter and was produced in quantity.
