Although there are several nutmeg graters in 300 Years of Kitchen Collectibles (Franklin 56) that appeared similar to the one above in function, no further information could be located on this specific grater. Many of the small hand-held nutmeg graters were dated from the mid 1800's to the early 1900's and therefore it is very possible that this grater was also produced and utilized during this time period.
