The purpose of this item was easy to determine based on the grinding blades and gear system as well as the exit tube, however, an identity (brand name) or a similar type grinder could not be found. Many of the cast iron tabletop combination meat grinders and sausage stuffers noted in 300 Years of Kitchen Collectibles (Franklin 65), as well as those located on various auction websites, date from the mid nineteenth century into the very early twentieth.
