According to Kitchen Antiques (Johnson 187), this little stove, and others like it such as a two and three burner stove, were utilized as the 1950's. However, this variety of stove was introduced towards the end of the nineteenth century and was originally created for the purposes of placing a sad iron upon it, hence its shape. Consequently, the little stove shown above could have been employed anytime from the late 1800's up through the mid 1900's.
