Date Details
During the late 1800's and early part of the twentieth century, companies began advertising their products by giving away various small useful kitchen tools. Many liquor establishments gave their consumers corkscrews such as this item. An exact date for this gadget or the company that sold Dure's Rye (Rye Whiskey), was not established, however, a similar type of advertising corkscrew from Hayner's Distilling Co. was dated at the turn of the century and therefore, this artifact may have very well come from the same period.
