Date Details

Wire potato mashers of this variety have been around since the mid nineteenth century. Although no specific date for this item could be ascertained, due to its similarity to certain mashers that date from the late 1800's and early 1900's, and the condition and simplicity of the masher, it is estimated that this object also arrived on the scene approximately in the late 1800's or turn of the century (300 Years of Kitchen Collectibles, Franklin 61).
