Description
John Neilson, the author of this 32-page volume, was a consulting physician for the Northern Dispensary in New York City. The book contains medical and household recipes, as well as culinary recipes for cakes, preserves, beer, cider, pickling, baked goods, and seafood and meat dishes. There is also a recipe for a "Diet drink." Many of the recipes are attributed to individuals or publications, and some are dated.
