This manuscript contains over 200 recipes, mostly culinary, including recipes for mixed drinks (claret cup, badminton, hock cup, brandy bitters, champagne cup, and Shang'hie cocktail), fruit and flower wines, beer, potted dishes, meat dishes, fish, puddings, and desserts. Also included is a four-page recipe for pate de foie gras.
