Description
Elijah T. Plum resided in Westfield parish, Middletown, Connecticut. He may be the Elijah Tyron Plum born to Jesse and Polly Plum on Nov. 5, 1786, in Middletown, Connecticut, who married Patty Jones in 1807 and died in 1828. This 28-page volume includes recipes for cakes, icing, gingerbread, cookies, and stuffing for chicken. (A complete index of the recipes is available in an Access database at the library.) The last two pages of the book contain dressmaking accounts written in 1831, obviously by some person other than the Elijah T. Plum who lived from 1786 to 1828.
