This volume of approximately 100 pages was originally an expense book that was likely kept by the Park family of New York. There are entries dated 1845 at the beginning and end of the volume. The remainder of the volume consists of undated recipes (probably written by Anna Gilman in the mid- to late-nineteenth century) for various desserts, cakes, confections. Anna Canfield Park Gilman was the mother of Charles Gilman. This cookbook is contained in the library's collection of Charles Gilman's family papers.
