Description
This book contains around 160 recipes, mostly for cakes, pies, and desserts, packed into 66 pages of a small notebook. The book may have originated in New England, for it includes recipes for clam chowder, Marlborough pie, and Boston cream cake, as well as an unusual recipe titled Haddam Cake, which may refer to Haddam, Connecticut. The book is not dated but is probably of the mid-nineteenth century.
