This book is mostly given over to recipes for baked goods, puddings, and jams and jellies, as well as instructions for preserving foods such as oysters, nuts, tomatoes, and cabbage. It also contains recipes for cloth dyes, white wash, paint, tooth powder, and soap; household tips such as removing ink stains; and remedies for various illnesses. The book includes some advertisements and newspaper clippings featuring recipes and household tips.
