Description
In addition to recipes, this book contains Catherine Flint's detailed notes on over a dozen dinner parties, supper parties, and evening parties staged in the Fint household in the 1850s and 1860s, mostly in connection with her husband's activities as a trustee of the Boston Public Library. This book is the subject of two blog posts on this site,
“A Boston Hostess Reveals Her Supper Secrets” and
“When Service à la Française Met Service à la Russe.”
