This cookbook is written in a notebook with printed page numbers. The first 36 pages have been torn out. Pages 37 through 39 contain a complete index to the contents, page 40 is blank, and pages 41 through 87 contain miscellaneous culinary recipes. The book seems to be in a single hand, which is very neat through page 72 but increasingly less controlled thereafter, especially after page 80. A number of recipes have been laid into the volume. They appear to be in the same hand as the book.

The first half of the volume focuses on cakes, puddings, and preserves. The second half is broader-ranging, adding recipes for pies, soups, condiments, and main dishes such as roast goose, roast pigeons, boiled turkey, boiled halibut, and veal loaf.
