Description

This volume actually comprises two different cookbooks written in separate notebooks that were later bound together under common covers. One cookbook is written on white leaves. It is approximately 25 pages in length and is mostly given over to recipes for desserts, cakes, and breakfast and tea breads. The other cookbook, which is written on blue leaves, comprises approximately 150 pages. It contains a variety of culinary recipes as well as recipes for cologne, tooth powder, and various household products and instructions for making clothes. The second cookbook includes a 10-page index at the front that was evidently written after the recipes were entered, for it is organized by recipe type.
