This recipe book is inscribed with the author's name and life dates, 1840-1884. It appears to be in a single hand. The book consists of recipes for cakes, breads, and other foods, interspersed with household recipes (soap, pomade) and remedies. It also contains accounts of eggs used by household, sundry accounts of D. Lovering, and a list of the Lovering children's births.
