Description
This English recipe book contains approximately 300 culinary and medical recipes written on approximately 320 pages. It includes a tabbed alphabetical index at front, which is mostly blank. The recipes are written in two different eighteenth-century hands, interspersed with recipes written in at least two nineteenth-century hands. The culinary recipes include pickled beef, stewed lamprey, wines, fruit preserves, sweet cakes, and gingerbread.
