This anonymous recipe book contains both handwritten and pasted-in printed recipes. The recipes for food and drink include cures for meat, mushroom catsup, ginger beer, and rhubarb cordial. The book also contains practical household recipes and a formula for determining the weight of live cattle. One of the pasted-in clippings bears a partial date of 1859.
