Description
Written in various late eighteenth-century hands, this 378-page book contains recipes for a range of savory dishes as well as recipes for desserts, cakes, preserves, pickles, and cordials. It is divided in two sequences of pages, written from opposite ends of the notebook, each separately foliated and with its own index.

Gatcombe Park was built in the late eighteenth century for a prosperous clothier. Today, it is owned by the British royal family and is the country residence of Princess Anne.
