Anner Mary Hudson Baldwin (1800-1892) was a daughter of David Hudson, Sr. (1761-1836) and Anna Norton Hudson (1761-1816). Her father, a Connecticut native, founded the town of Hudson, Ohio, then part of Connecticut Western Reserve, in 1800. She was the first child of European ancestry born in Hudson. Her father engaged in sheep raising and farming, invested in mercantile and manufacturing enterprises, was active in public service, and was one of the first incorporators of Western Reserve College, now known as Case Western Reserve University. Anner Mary Hudson married Harvey Baldwin (1798-1880) in 1817. She was the last survivor of her family's seven children.
