Description

This volume, presumed to be British or Irish, is primarily in a one hand. It contains approximately 133 pages of culinary recipes at the front and 38 pages of medical recipes written from the back of the notebook. There is a complete table of contents for the culinary recipes. A few recipes are dated 1835; some leaves are watermarked, "J Green, 18[1]9." The culinary recipes cover cakes, puddings, pies, preserves, soups, oysters, lobster, ham, and beef and other meats. There are also several recipes for beer, porter, and ale, as well as a few recipes for wines.
