Description
This bound book was originally used as a ledger. Entries dated 1810 to 1818 list purchases of tobacco, corn, and butter, as well as a shirt, and reference making shirts and shoes. Entries dated 1828 to 1844 list days worked; most pages are headed "Hoosack". The book was later used as a recipe book by Mrs. Philinder Thompson, as indicated by the inscription on the second page. Among the final pages of the book there is a note: "D.P. Eddy / Married T.F. Thompson May 7 1867."
