Description

This 166-page volume is a notebook of mathematical exercises compiled by a Miss Threadkell, around 1795, to which medical and culinary recipes have been added by a number of different individuals from both ends of the volume. Some of the added recipes are in much later hands than Miss Threadkell's, suggesting that the volume was still in use as late as the 1890s. A 1922 memorandum form from the Great Eastern Railway written in multicolored inks, from a young man named George to his family, is laid into the middle of the volume.
