Description
This 230-page quarto volume, measuring 20 X 17 cm, contains a mix of culinary, medical, household, and cosmetic recipes written in two or three hands. The culinary recipes include "To make orange wine (leaf 13r); To mango cucumbers (leaf 15r); For preserving Goosberries (leaf 19r); Spinnage a la creme (leaf 25r); To ragoo a breast of veal (leaf 32r); White hogs pudings in gutts (leaf 37r); and Hotch pot (leaf 46r). Many of the recipes are attributed, and many are signed "A.G.," and many of the latter are in the same hand.
