Description
The library's Carson-Randolph family papers primarily concern Hope Carson Randolph (1885-1980) and her husband Evan Randolph (1880-1962), who were both descendants of prominent Philadelphia families that trace their roots to the colonial era. The finding aid for the papers lists "nineteenth-century recipes in an unidentified hand" in Series 2c. Randolph & Related Families, specified as "a recipe book n. d." in the box and folder listing. Most of the other material in this series pertains to the family of Evan Fitz Randolph (1822-1889), Evan Randolph's father, and is of the mid-nineteenth century, so this recipe book may be of the same date.
