Description
This recipe book, likely English, was written by M. A. Prideaux, in 1820, in a blank pre-printed account book. The signature of M. A. Prideaux appears twice on the title page and within the volume. Culinary recipes include mead, pickling, preserving fruit, tapioca, vinegar, and wine. There are also numerous household formulas for blacking, dyes, ink, sympathetic inks, silvering a mirror, and wood varnishes, as well as medical recipes. A 1725 sermon is written on five pages of the volume.
