This recipe book is part of the library's collection of the papers of the Richardson family. The book's author and place of origin are unknown. However, the recipes, which are listed in a database in the library, can be dated, more or less, to the second quarter of the nineteenth century. The recipes focus on cakes, little cakes, tea breads, puddings, custard and cream desserts, preserves, and pickles. There are also a few recipes for meat dishes and drinks.
