Description
This recipe book is part of the library's collection of the papers of the Richardson family. The book's author and place of origin are unknown. However, the recipes, which are indexed in a database at the library, can be dated with reasonable assurance to the second quarter of the nineteenth century. The recipes focus on cakes, little cakes and cookies, tea breads, puddings, custard and cream desserts, preserves, and pickles. There are also a few recipes for meat dishes and drinks.
