Description
This oversize volume (32 cm) of 21 unnumbered pages contains fifty-two unattributed recipes handwritten some time after 1772. Most of the recipes concern food and drink, such as Carolina snowballs, Carolina rice pudding, Rules for brewing, To dry a goose, methods of making chocolate, India pickle, and ice cream. The book also includes "The Jews way of preserving salmon and all sorts of fish," a popular eighteenth century British recipe.
