Description
This volume of 17 leaves is in several different hands. It is attributed to Anthony C. Simpson because that name is written on the inside back cover and one recipe is attributed to Mrs. Simpson. A very faint note in pencil records the owner's arrival in Philadelphia in 1848. A few items are dated 1851, 1869, 1871, and 1874. The volume contains a mix of culinary, housekeeping, and medical recipes, including some clipped from newspapers.
