Description
Barrel portion of dasher type butter churn; painted red and made entirely without nails; with slightly tapered sides, three hoops with woven joints, and one stave extending above top hoop that is carved in the shape of a handle; circular cover with incised band around rim and convex middle with hole at center and two inch notch along edge; long-handled dasher with pine cross, pierced with holes and nailed to the bottom (lid and dasher missing).
