Description
"Acme Leader" decorative range for cooking and heating, can be used from three sides. The top has four burners and a nickel plated warmer which swivels into place over one burner. Also on top is an oval flue opening with "9 19" cast on both sides. The water jacket, which fits inside the stove at the back, has a two-piece lid. The narrow door at the front has a sliding vent and "Acme Leader Sears Roebuck and Co., Chicago" in raised letters. One hinge pin is missing. There is a removable rack inside this door. The apron has an ash pan with a cover, located below the rack. There is a narrow hinged door below the apron at the very bottom. Two sides have a large door that opens into the oven area. There is a green glazed ceramic tile with a profile of a woman at the center of each door. At the PL side is a smaller square door and a broken, hinged element that was the door opener. On the same side are two metal bars that open and close vents inside the stove. There is a removable grated oven rack inside the oven. The stove body sits on a separate, cast iron skirt with four attached legs.
