Date Details
There are no markings on this particular rolling pin and therefore it is difficult to determine an exact date for such an item since wooden rolling pins existed throughout the later eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The earliest rolling pins were those that were hand-carved from a single piece of wood. The rolling pin above, however, is factory made and therefore the date of its utilization can be narrowed to the latter part of the nineteenth century onward. Due to its relatively good condition and factory craftsmanship, this pin probably doesn't date back any further than the very late nineteenth century.
