Many of the cast iron lemon juicer's of this kind first appeared in the late nineteenth century and around the turn of the century (300 Years of Kitchen Collectibles, Franklin 42). Those hand-held and completely cast iron juicers (no porcelain, glass or tin inserts) that are listed in 300 Years of Kitchen Collectibles (Franklin 43), range in date from 1888 to the turn of the century when aluminum and tin juicers were being introduced.
