Description
This 256-page volume includes recipes for baking, preserving and wine-making, with a few miscellaneous household and medical recipes. Many recipes are ascribed to individuals by initial or name, including Isaac Nodder (with the date 1753) and Mrs. Nodder. Page 266 contains a note, written in a more modern hand, stating, "The property of A Tansley [?] 65 Stroue [?] Rd E4 Forest Gate." There are also some examples for writing bonds and legal papers among the recipes.
