This 250-page volume, dated October 29th, 1773, was compiled by Elizabeth Pettigrew. It contains about 75 recipes, the majority of which are culinary. There is an index with projecting tabs, an unusual feature for the time. Four pages show table settings where the writer has given each dish a punning name.
