This 41-page recipe book was compiled by Timothy Hall (1758-1844) between 1823 and 1834. It contains both medical and household recipes. Hall was a physician who served as a surgeon in the Revolutionary War. He later settled in the Hockanum neighborhood of East Hartford, Connecticut, where he practiced medicine for a number of years. He married Eunice Hills Hall (ca. 1760-1797) in 1783. The couple had six children, including Eli Hall, who was also a physician.
