The book is fairly evenly divided between culinary and medical recipes, which are mixed together. The culinary recipes are weighted toward fruit preserving, sweet wines and waters, cakes, pickles, fresh cheeses, and soups. The book includes recipes for "Jam of Cherries" and "Jam of Raspberries." According to OED, the word "jam" does not appear in print until 1736.
