Description
Abby Langdon Alger (1850-1917) was a daughter of William Rounseville Alger, a prominent Boston Unitarian minister, poet, and author who wrote on religious subjects. She translated works from the German, French, and Norwegian and also wrote several novels. In addition to her recipes, the library's collection of additional Alger family papers includes her commonplace books.
