Description

Harvey S. Day was a dairy farmer of Willis, Michigan, and officer of the Holstein-Friesian Association. The library's collection of Day's papers includes a pocket recipe book, which contains the name James Ander on the front page and the purchase date of the notebook, 1859, on the back flyleaf. The book comprises approximately 25 pages of recipes, including cream of tartar crackers, ginger snaps, and boiled Indian meal pudding.
