This English recipe book, dated ca. 1780 by the library, contains a collection of culinary recipes written from the front of the notebook, and a collection of medical recipes written from the back. The book is written in at least three different hands. The culinary recipes include Dutch blomouge (that is, blancmange), bride cake, sauces for fish and fowls, "good forced meat for any use," and walnut catchup (that is, ketchup).
