Description

This English recipe book is signed by Mary Mott and is almost entirely in her hand except for two pages. It contains 56 pages of culinary recipes written from the front of the volume and 43 pages of medical recipes, written from the back of the volume and upside down in relation to the front. There are 112 blank pages between the two sections. The back flyleaf of the book contains an inscription by a later owner: "This book to be given to Mr. George Abbey at my death. Mary Kerr, 30th May 1825."
