Description
The first 24 pages of this manuscript comprises the Cookbook of Rachel Williston. The first page bears the signatures of Rachel Davison Hurd and Joseph Williston, both dated 1765. On page 21, Rachel's signature appears as Rachel Williston and is also dated 1765. The remainder of the manuscript consists of a genealogy of the Williston family of Boston. The genealogy, which bears the title "James Alexander's maternal ancestors," traces the family from 1650 to 1881.
