This 127-page cookbook is signed Margaret D. Wyman, Cambridge, Massachusetts. She may have been the Margaret D. Wyman, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, who lived from 1834 to 1874 and is buried in the Mount Auburn Cemetery, in Cambridge. She was the first wife of Charles Francis Wyman and the mother of George H. P. Wyman, who also died in 1874, under the age of one year. The recipes in the book are divided into sections for breads, cakes, meats, and so on.
