Description
This 48-page recipe book may have been owned by Margaret Rutson Maury (1764-1830), who became the second wife of James Maury (1746-1840) around 1796, and with whom she had five children. James Maury was appointed the first American consul to Liverpool, England, in 1790 and served in that office until 1829, when he was removed by President Andrew Jackson.
