The compiler of this 77-page recipe book is unknown. In addition to culinary recipes, the volume includes newspaper clippings of practical household recipes pasted over pages from Tables of Comparative Etymology and Analogous Formations in [. . .] Languages, a book by John Lewis (1784-1858) published in Philadelphia, in 1828.
