1833-1866Description
"M. A. Inglis 1833" is written on the inside front cover of this red paper-covered volume. The book appears to be written in two hands, with many recipes bearing the initials A. L. Recipes in the book are dated from 1833 to 1866. The book is chiefly culinary, containing recipes for puddings, cakes, fruit preserves, jellies, breads, meat dishes, curried dishes, and desserts. There are also some medical and household recipes. A bifolium (a sheet of paper folded in half to make four pages) with recipes, chiefly for meat dishes, is laid in the volume.
